AI Use and AI-Generated Content Policy

How AI is used on the platform and the limits of AI-generated content.


DIYDG uses AI to help draft policies, plans, summaries and guidance. AI-generated content is general in nature, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and must be reviewed by a person with appropriate authority before use. AI must not be used to generate, reproduce or commercialise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural knowledge without proper authority and consent.

Position statement

The Empowered by DIYDG Community Start-Up Hub is a free, members-only online platform operated by Deadly Inspiring Youth Doing Good Ltd (DIYDG), an Australian charity based in Queensland.

The purpose of the platform is to build the capability of community members, grassroots leaders, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, social entrepreneurs, families, emerging organisations, charities, social enterprises and community groups through educational resources, templates, tools, mentoring, planning systems and AI-assisted support.

DIYDG provides educational support, mentoring, coaching, tools, templates and community development assistance only. DIYDG does not provide legal, financial, accounting, taxation, insurance, investment, governance or regulatory advice unless explicitly stated and delivered by an appropriately qualified professional engaged by DIYDG.

User acknowledgements

  • You remain solely responsible for all decisions relating to your organisation, project, business or service.
  • You must obtain independent legal, financial, taxation, accounting, insurance, regulatory and governance advice where required.
  • DIYDG does not determine the most appropriate legal structure for any user.
  • DIYDG does not approve, certify or endorse any organisation created using the platform.
  • DIYDG does not guarantee that any organisation will obtain registration, funding, accreditation, insurance, licences or regulatory approval.
  • DIYDG does not guarantee that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, current or suitable for any purpose.
  • DIYDG does not guarantee that templates, policies or procedures generated through the platform comply with applicable legislation, funding agreements or regulatory requirements.
  • You must independently review, verify and customise all documents before implementation.
